Gloria Wickman is a prose fiction and comics writer. She has studied comics writing under the instruction of Andy Schmidt, the editor for the Image Comics series, C.O.W.L. and founder of the Comic Experience courses. Mr. Schmidt has also worked as an editor at Marvel and IDW comics. Ms. Wickman has taken multiple courses at the Comic Experience to improve her comic writing skills and learn more about the production of comics. She is also a member of the Comics Experience workshop.

One of her earliest collaborations was the short comic, “Aces & Eights,” with Brazilian artist F. Salathiel Anacleto. In addition to creating the script, Gloria also lettered and produced the comic to gain firsthand knowledge about comics production. A small print run of the comic was handed out at the June 2014 Denver Comic Con.

In May 2014, Gloria incorporated “In the Hopper” to manage her various writing projects. Her short story, “Chasing the Light,” appears in the May 2018 issue of Metaphorosis Magazine. 

Gloria is a contributor to both Better Humans, and the Writing Cooperative. She is currently writing her first novel.
